los angeles-based teardrop trailer brand polydrops has revealed its latest model P17X,  designed to provide the most versatile overlanding experience for people who desire to live anywhere, even off-road/off-grid. with its enhanced overlanding features, four-season weatherproofed cabin, and all-electric operation system, the newly unveiled vehicle supports people in expanding both their mental and physical boundaries wherever they go.

the new trailer by polydrops (find more here) showcases essential features from the P17 and a massive amount of electric energy and climate control system from the P17A, the brand’s sibling models offering different solutions for different lifestyles. this means that the P17X provides users with a comfortable sleeping experience and a small kitchen where they can prepare warm meals wherever they are, whenever they want. ultimately, the new vehicle is all about finding peace of mind in the middle of mother nature.

P17X incorporates 29” all-terrain tires, timbren independent suspension, and 15” ground clearance to significantly enhance its on-trail performance. rock armors around the body protect the exterior aluminum panels from hits on the trail. morevoer, the trailer is adorned with multiple solar panels and packed with lithium iron phosphate batteries, which allow users to remain off the grid for days – remote work, cross country trips, and weekend trips.

the solar-powered electric system of P17X operates the heater, A/C unit, thermostat, interior and exterior LED lights, and security cameras, 110V outlets, induction cooktop, and fridge without any external power source. the trailer’s lightweight four-season cabin is weatherproofed with a maximum of 8.7 inches thickness of insulation, which helps conserve energy and allows for sustainability under any weather condition. in addition, the trailer comes with an awning, a roadshower, a 6-gallon freshwater tank, a 45-liter fridge, and a freezer.

polydrops P17X is expected to begin delivering to customers in the first quarter of 2022. however, anyone interested can start placing reservations with a fully refundable $1,000 USD deposit at the brand’s official website. the standard P17X model starts from $34,990 USD.
